Christian Education
Chair: Kathy Kelley
This is a very vibrant and wide-ranging ministry. Its programs include Sunday School for all ages, Disciple Bible study, a very busy youth ministry, confirmation, Vacation Bible School, the preschool programs, training of teachers, leadership training, training in child protection and safety, preparation for children to participate in worship, Godly Play, parent enrichment programs and scouting programs. This ever expanding program is possible because UCP recognizes the importance of education in the development of effective disciples for Jesus Christ.

The committee also coordinates the coffee hour each Sunday after both services.

Worship - Chair: Mary Jackson
The Worship Ministry is made up of UCP Staff, including pastors, music directors, pianists/organists, acolytes, ushers, and lay members, to plan the worship for the UCP congregation. Besides taking care of all the elements which go into regular Sunday worship, which includes such things as communion stewardship and creation of the worship environment, its responsibility is to plan the worship life for all of the major Sundays of the Liturgical Year, including Reformation Sunday, All Saints, Christ the King, Thanksgiving, Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Ash Wednesday, Lenten Services, Holy Week, Easter Sunday and Pentecost, as well as special services as they may arise. UCP is blessed to have many very talented musicians within the congregation. We maintain a very active music program including children’s and adult choirs, adult and youth bell choirs and a "Total Praise" dance group.

Acolyte Training
Calling all rising 2nd graders to rising 6th graders:
Being an acolyte during Worship is an important responsibility.  The acolyte, brings the light of Christ into our presence in the sanctuary to signify the beginning of our Worship time; it is a wonderful and meaningful way to participate in our worship service.  For info on next class, contact the Worship Ministry..
